I made this cake today for Katherine Sabbath, one of my greatest inspirations, and also one of the kindest, most artistic, most amazing cakers in the whole world!

Thank you so much, Katherine, for taking the time to be in touch with me this week and for inspiring me with your incredibly awesome artwork! It means so much!!!

Katherine chooses the brightest, most playful colors and it always brings me joy to look at her gorgeous desserts, and now I am finally trying one of my own. I combined some of my favorite recipes with one of Katharine’s most famous cake designs. This awesome stop-motion animation she made of her cake was my inspiration:

❤️Katharine Sabbath’s beautiful video❤️

The colors I chose came from looking at the pink and yellow flowers outside my window… And something fun – the yellow flowers I put around the cake are edible, but they’re sour! Sour flowers!

Hope you enjoy and thanks for watching!
